Our Story

Who We Are

Rotary Club of Garki–Abuja is one of the most active and impactful clubs in Nigeria’s Rotary District 9127. We are dedicated to advancing the ideals of service, leadership, and fellowship through projects that directly uplift the lives of people within our community and beyond.

Our members include doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, teachers, public servants, and young professionals who believe in the power of coming together to build a better world.

As a club, we focus on the Seven Areas of Rotary Focus:

  • Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention
  • Disease Prevention and Treatment
  • Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene
  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Basic Education and Literacy
  • Community Economic Development
  • Supporting the Environment

Through these, we carry out sustainable projects such as:

 

  • Polio immunization drives
  • Educational support programs
  • Medical outreaches and much more
  • Youth mentorship and empowerment
  • Clean water installations

Our Legacy

Since our founding:

  • 🎖️ We have produced two District Governors

  • 👥 We’ve grown from 30 charter members to a thriving network

  • 📍 We have led impactful projects across Nigeria and contributed to Rotary International’s global campaigns

We take pride in our legacy, but even more in the future we are building.
